first time ever

oh. the long deserved holiday week! haji just passed and now christmas and the new year is finally arriving, which means, HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

i went to pulau ubin (for the first time) on thurday to cycle, though my legs were aching due to the training i had previously and i had to wake up at 5 in the morning to reach changi on time. nonetheless, it did not deter me. c'mon, i've never been there before, and it's a good chance to hang with my bros. so we rented a bike each for the day. turn out the weather sucks. it started to rain after we cycled for like 15mins?! we had to take shelter at this seafood restaurant which serves rather bland chrysanthemum tea but good, spicy mee goreng. quite cheap too, $8 for this 'i think big is very big' serving. hahs.

then, when the rain became mild, we carried on cycling, on the main road, partly cos' haO couldn't cycle well and the terrains are rather muddy and rocky. but when we finally took the risk and tried to conquer the dirt tracks, jo just have to wreak his bike. !!! and later on, the bike was worn out to the point that the wheels were stucked and we had to carry it back! somehow, weird ideas developed, from the relay-strength-training to the tying-to-the-bag so that we have an easier time carrying. when we finally return the bike to the rental shop, we had to fork out 6 bucks for compensation. okay, it's not our fault right... the rental people claimed the bike were new. yeah, so true. but it was still fun. it's been long since we've done such stupid things. i really miss those days.

anyway, i just went out for a movie with pearl. national treasure is really good, though nicholas cage should have done something about his receding hairline.

okay. christmas is coming, so is lijun's wedding. CONGRATS!
and the new year is coming... time to look back and see what you've done for the past year. wasted? or fulfilling? and what about the new year? new resolutions? time to think about it, people.
