top of the world

i am back.

it is impossible to squeeze all the emotions and stories that have spanned over the incredible one month into one short entry so i am not going to act hero and do that. but in just one sentence: the trip gives me post-trip blues.

i was telling matt after reading his somewhat emotional sms that whenever i have post-event blues, it means i've genuinely enjoyed the event. especially now, when i am seriously suffering from it, it only goes to show how much i've loved the trip.

fair enough, we did have moments when mood was down, when things got awkward or situations tacky. but you cannot deny one thing - the immense amount of fun we've had. and those are the memories that would pop up whenever i reminiscence. the times we challenged and wore t-shirts out in the freezing cold (and ever misty) alps; our apparent fetish for parks throughout the trip; times when a simple plate of meegoreng (or bland carbonara) is enough to make our day; or just standing next to each other, not saying anything, watching the spectacular Fountain of Montjuic danced its magic.

so what if the trip may not be perfect? one thing's for sure. the next time i see backpackers roaming around city hall mrt, i will only recall the greatness of what we've been through in June 2009.

so, where next?
