went beach road and pissed off the clockseller. this was what happened...

i asked the uncle, " do you sell alarm clocks?"
he answered, "ya. you want?"
"can i take a look?"
he searched the cabinet and showed me one. i took a closer look.
"how much for one?"
"$4 each..."
okay, slightly expensive, i thought.
"sure can work anot?"
"of course can lah. i show you..."
he fiddled with it, opened the box, and placed batteries in the clock. turned the knob slightly and set the alarm switch right and the clock sounded! it worked!
"see.. i told you can work. the volume slowly increases somemore."
then i replied, "okay, good. i'll look around first. thanks uncle."

...and i never went back.

haha. i'm going for dinner now.
