misfired fever

having fever is really damn uncomfortable. initially, i didn't wanted to report sick as i did not want to miss anymore lessons and stuff. also, i've vowed not to report sick anymore. but the fever was really unbearable. it even shot up to 38.9 degreesC at one time. and so, i went to the MO.

that's how i got my Attend C status. had an early bookout yesterday evening. earned an extra evening out of tekong. my bunk mates were all jealous. but they didn't know how it felt to have high fever. i would rather stay in bunk, fit and healthy, than to bookout early, feeling all uncomfortable and sickly.

anyway, after one night's rest at home, my temperature is back to normal. the medicine really helped. i was very scared that i would miss the stAJe j1's performance tonight. but judging from my state now, i should be able to go ahead with the plan. ;)

i had the range test on thursday. and i passed it. if not for all the IAs, i might just be the coy's best shot. anyway, during the night shoot, shiqin misfired and he was standing right next to me! his rifle was pointing slightly downwards and when he misfired, the round landed about 1m away from his leg. i was right next to him and i could see exactly how the round was ejected and how it sparked off a small fire about 3m away from me! i was scared to death. he could have just killed someone, and that someone could have been me! he said that he did not pull the trigger at all, i trust him. the rifle has been here since the 1960s. it's old. somehow, it'll malfunction. but the sad thing is, the higher ups do not understand this point.
