today is my bookout day

yes, i'm officially a soldier.
and yes, i'm getting the hang of it.

today is my first ever bookout day. i'm really very excited. the 2 weeks in tekong made me realise my dependence on technology. the absence of civilisation for just merely 2 weeks was kind of haunting. but for now, i'm just glad i'm back home.

the 2 weeks in tekong wasn't that bad. the lectures were boring. bunks were rather okay. food is simply "chap cai beng". free medical consultation and medicine. and for the most important part - the training wasn't that tough yet. but who knows what's going to happen after the 2 weeks. in tekong, things are unpredictable. period.

i've made a few friends there. not that many. mostly are acquaintances i guess. and through these 2 weeks, i've really seen alot of different people, character wise that is. maybe i'm too busy observing or maybe i'm too reserved, i don't really know all of them yet. or perhaps it's because i don't want to try too hard to fit into the picture. i know what kind of person i am and i'm happy to be who i am. but i'll still try to make as much friends as possible. they always say in army, you'll make the best of friends. i'm in the process of proving that theory.

anyway, have lots of things on tomorrow.
first, the smu interview which i had not prepared at all.
then i'm going sentosa with my classmates.
after that, i'm going shopping and if not, chill with my bros. hahas.

i need to rest now. i'm used to lights out at 1030.
